We love promoting industry events. So we were especially excited to promote our own industry event, the AAF St. Louis ADDY Awards. As a matter of tradition, we were asked to design the theme for the show after securing Best of Show recognition the prior year. 

SAVING THE DATE

Aside from the not-so-humble brag, let’s talk about the AAF Awards. For the past three years, they’d been remote. That’s fine and all—but the main reason most of us go to award shows is to hang out with our peers, catch up with old friends and make new ones. It’s a party, and we knew that for 2023, the entire St. Louis creative community would be ready to go.

BRINGING THE BRAND TO MARKET

We put attendees front and center, with a campaign that told people: “We missed your face.” Headless people, backed by bold colors, striking even bolder poses. In social, direct mail, email and physical boards displayed at the event, we celebrated the many flavors of creative folks that make our community award-winning.

We married it all with evocative descriptions of people we’ve all worked with, and tried not to offend too many of them along the way.
